Flint activist Arthur Woodson outraged by pastor's comments on Flint radio 1420 AM program
FLINT — Comments by a pastor on a Flint radio show has outraged an activist who has been one of the leaders in demanding action to fix Flint's water problems before they became national news.
Arthur Woodson was angry after comments by one of the program's co-hosts, Pastor Reginald Flynn, Saturday morning on WFLT 1420 AM. Woodson was also angered by comments on another program on the same station hosted by A.C. Dumas.
Woodson says Dumas and Pastor Flynn are strong supporters of the mayor. He has twice appeared on CCN Radio's Morning Gazette Radio Show to say the mayor needs to cut ties with Dumas and others he contends are close advisors to Flint's mayor — Dr. Karen Weaver. Woodson said he supports a recall effort against Mayor Weaver that was revealed by Alex Harris last week on CCN Radio's Morning Gazette Radio Show,
"I was called a troublemaker because I put paperwork out for you all to see," Woodson said on a Facebook post shortly after Saturday's programs aired on WFLT 1420 AM. "The same people who (have) surrounded the mayor — they feel that you all don't deserve to know the truth," Woodson added on his post.
"A.C. Dumas invited his listeners to my page and look for themselves. I am going to start from the beginning. Pastor Flynn called me a troublemaker because it is out that he and some others from the concerned pastors met with Woodrow Stanley and Rizzo. He admitted to this on his radio show. This is the same pastor who had donated his buses to take the people to Lansing to rally against the governor, then the pastors told him not to work with me, so he charged me $500 for a school bus, when all I had to pay was $400 for a luxury bus. This is not personal. We need to get these people out of the way, so that Flint can move forward. These people are hoping that you stay asleep. They are the reason that we are still in this situation. They are still living this 1985 politics. It is time we take a stand. We have been asking. Now it's time that we demand. I will not stop informing the people of Flint."
