Morning Gazette Radio Show reports 4th recall attempt filed against Flint Mayor Dr. Weaver

   FLINT  — The Morning Gazette Radio Show reported Monday that a fourth recall petition has been filed against Flint Mayor Dr. Karen Weaver. Community activist Arthur Woodson filed the latest petition language in hopes of forcing an election to remove Dr. Weaver from office. He must first collect signatures from about 5,000 registered voters after getting his proposed ballot language approved by a three-person panel that twice rejected proposed language filed by Alex Harris. Click Here to Read More

​Drunken driving charge filed against city councilman in Flint 
   FLINT  — A blood test confirmed that Flint City Councilman Wantwaz Davis was drunk when arrested after a late night Sept. 3 crash. The councilman refused a breathalyzer at the scene and spent the night at the Flint City Jail. He was released pending blood test results and told The Morning Gazette Radio Show that he wouldn't fight the charges if he was over the legal limit of .08. His blood alcohol was .10, according to a statement released by the office of Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton.
