​​Dueling garbage trucks picking up trash across City of Flint as city council, mayor square off 
 
 FLINT (9-26-2016)  — Garbage trucks from two competing companies are picking up garbage across the City of Flint today. The Morning Gazette Radio Show reported multiple accounts of two trucks picking up trash on the same street as the fight over the city's garbage hauling contract appears headed back to court. 
   Flint City Councilman Scott Kincaide has filed a lawsuit to block Flint Mayor Dr. Karen Weaver from switching companies. He has an 8-1 vote of support from the city council to continue using Republic Services. Mayor Weaver says she wants to save tax dollars by switching to Rizzo Environ- mental.
   Councilman Kincaid and five fellow city council members held a press conference Friday to protest after Mayor Weaver notified Republic Services on Thursday that the city would switch to Republic after Friday.

   FLINT  — Rumors circulating on the internet say former President Bill Clinton will visit Downtown Flint today in a campaign stop for his wife, Hillary. The former president is scheduled to speak at a rally in Rochester to support his wife's campaign for president against Donald Trump.

Flint FIrebirds win pair of weekend games to move to 4-0 on home ice  FLINT  — The Flint Firebirds are in first place this morning in the Ontario Hockey League's West Division and they boast the No. 1 and No. 2 scorers in all of the OHL. They beat the Sarnia Sting 7-4 on Saturday night and then beat the Ottawa 67's 5-4 yesterday. ​Drunken driving charge filed against city councilman in Flint 
   FLINT  — A blood test confirmed that Flint City Councilman Wantwaz Davis was drunk when arrested after a late night Sept. 3 crash. The councilman refused a breathalyzer at the scene and spent the night at the Flint City Jail. He was released pending blood test results and told The Morning Gazette Radio Show that he wouldn't fight the charges if he was over the legal limit of .08. His blood alcohol was .10, according to a statement released by the office of Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton.
